Agreement to Terms

By accessing our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.

Services

Carrot & Stick Food provides luxury private chef and catering services for intimate dinners, weddings, corporate events, and chef's table experiences in Herefordshire, Gloucestershire and the Cotswolds areas.

Bookings and Deposits

Booking Process

All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation. A booking is confirmed only when:

• We have received your completed booking form
• We have provided written confirmation of availability
• The required deposit has been paid

Deposits and Payment

• A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to secure your booking
• The remaining balance is due 14 days before the event
• Payment can be made via bank transfer or agreed payment methods
• Events will not proceed without full payment received

Cancellations and Changes

Client Cancellations

• More than 60 days before event: 50% of total fee refunded
• 30-60 days before event: 25% of total fee refunded
• Less than 30 days before event: No refund

Changes to Booking

Changes to dates, guest numbers, or menu requirements must be communicated at least 14 days before the event. Significant changes may incur additional charges.

Our Cancellation Rights

We reserve the right to cancel a booking in exceptional circumstances (e.g., illness, emergency). In such cases, we will provide a full refund or offer to reschedule at no additional cost.

Menu and Dietary Requirements

We will work with you to create a bespoke menu tailored to your preferences and dietary requirements. Please inform us of any allergies, intolerances, or dietary restrictions at the time of booking.

While we take all reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment. Clients with severe allergies should discuss this with us before booking.

Client Responsibilities

The client agrees to provide:

• Access to suitable kitchen facilities at the venue
• Adequate workspace, equipment, and utilities
• Accurate guest numbers at least 7 days before the event
• Safe working environment and parking if applicable

Liability

We maintain comprehensive public liability insurance and food hygiene certification. However, we are not liable for:

• Damages caused by third-party venues or suppliers
• Issues arising from inaccurate information provided by the client
• Circumstances beyond our reasonable control (force majeure)

Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including recipes, menus, images, and branding, is the property of Carrot & Stick Food and protected by copyright law. Unauthorized use is prohibited.

Photography and Marketing

We may photograph events for marketing purposes. If you prefer not to have your event photographed, please inform us in advance. We will not use images of identifiable individuals without consent.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
